He loves to create art using nature, so that is exactly what we did in our outdoor area.

Multi Club enjoyed ribbon dancing this afternoon. We had great fun in KS1 twirling, sweeping and fluttering our beautiful ribbons.
Year 4 conducted an experiment to release gas from fizzy drinks and see whether there was a difference. There was lots of predicting, shaking, comparing and measuring, along with some careful releasing thanks to Mr Smith. Because we're so resourceful, we even managed to make sure the drinks didn't go to waste!

We would like to invite parents of Reception and Year 1 children to an Early Reading and Phonics workshop run by Miss Gotts. She will talk about phonics and reading progression for the coming year. There will be time to ask any questions you may have about reading and phonics. Don't worry if you're not able to attend the workshop, we will be sharing all information on our website. There will be two workshop times on Tuesday 23rd September, either 9am and 2.45pm. If you are able to attend, please choose one of the workshop times.Â

I would like to ask for your help regarding the safety of your children when playing outside.
it is very important that children are aware of how to stay safe when playing outside, and we are doing some work on this at school at present.
Please also use care and consideration when driving and parking near school. I am aware that the roads around school are incredibly busy at drop off and pick up times.
I know that their safety is of paramount importance to us all.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of their exciting new Forest School, an enriching outdoor learning initiative that brings the curriculum to life through hands-on exploration in the natural world.
Some children from Year 6 were lucky enough to be invited by Harrogate Rugby Club and Aled to be Guard of Honours at the last game of the season for the men's first team.
What an experience for them!
Just a polite note to say that due to safeguarding rules, unsupervised adults are not allowed into school, even to use the toilets. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope that you understand safeguarding the site has to be our priority.

We have noticed that some lovely bikes and scooters have been left for several days at school. Please make sure that your children take theirs home!
We are asking for donations for our Give and Take stall which is situated in the reception area, by the office. If you are able to donate any non-perishable food items such as rice, tinned fruit and vegetables, dry pasta, instant mash, etc or toiletries, please bring them to the office.
Our Give and Take stall is open to anyone who needs that helping hand with food and toiletries, please help yourself whenever you need.
In Multi-Club we have been creating Nature Art, inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy.
Remember to bring sun hats and water bottles in to school and to apply all day sun cream for this sunny weather.
Last term, the children in Year 5 worked incredibly hard on their dance routines ready for the virtual dance competition.
Mr Smith worked with groups in Year 4 today to challenge them to make specific amounts of money with a certain number of coins: challenging their creativity and problem solving. We were very impressed with the skills shown by pupils as we compared amounts of money and challenged ourselves. What fantastic life skills to possess and apply outside of school, too!
