We are delighted to celebrate the launch of our new Forest School programme, an enriching, outdoor learning initiative that brings the curriculum to life through real-world exploration and nature-based discovery.
Delivered in partnership with Born of the Forest, our Forest School offers weekly sessions that we are rolling out across the entire school.
Forest School is a child-led, long-term approach to learning that takes place in natural settings. Recognised by the Forest School Association, it promotes holistic development by encouraging:
Supported risk-taking
Independence and confidence
Curiosity and creativity
Play-based exploration
Helping to develop a life long love of learning.

Children enjoy a wide range of rich, hands-on experiences, such as:
Campfire cooking – including dandelion and banana pancakes
Adventure play – tyre swings, slacklines and hammocks
Tool use – learning how to safely use saws, hammers, and peelers
Creative construction – den building and mud kitchen play
Science in action – exploring habitats and wildlife up close
These sessions link directly to the national curriculum while nurturing key life skills like resilience, problem-solving, and teamwork.
