Y5 Longboat Trip

This morning, Year 5 set sail on their annual Viking raid to Valley Gardens!

The children had a fantastic time sailing their longboats on the boating lake and seeing all their hard work in DT over the past few weeks pay off.

We tested our boats, evaluated their designs, and even braved a few “storms” (thanks to the water feature in the middle of the lake!). Their behaviour was exemplary, and everyone had a brilliant morning despite the weather.

A huge thank you to all the adults who helped make the trip possible, and an extra big thank you to FOSS for providing biscuits to keep our energy up for the trek to and from school!
