Cajón Drumming Club

Our Cajón Drumming Club is also known as 'Ten Drummers Drumming,' because there are ten children in the club. A cajón is a box-shaped percussion instrument originally from Peru and is played by slapping the front or rear faces with the hands, fingers, or sometimes implements such as brushes, mallets, or sticks.

All children from Year 3 to Year 6 are invited to join this popular club.   The club runs on Wednesdays after school and is led by our specialist music teacher, the wonderful Mrs Roberts! Each child has lots of fun learning different playing techniques. They're are given the opportunity to perform in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 assemblies. They also perform in front of their parents at the end of each term.
