For PE, Year 4 constructed a dance routine based on Roman style music and moves. We watched an example of a dance before trying moves of our own to two different types of music.
We commented on how we moved differently to the different moods of the two pieces. We chose our favourite piece, got into groups and made our own dance where we had to think of travelling, moving to the music and have a low level part, mid level part and high level part.
We then performed our dances to the other groups and gave each other green and pinks for what was good and what could be improved.
This also linked to one of our music targets because we had to recognise how different musical elements are combined and used expressively.
Roman Clay Mythical Monsters
In English we designed a mythical monster to be included into our myths. To help us with this, we designed clay versions of our mythical monsters to help us with our descriptions. We had some fantastic results!
